صحيح مسلم
Hadith 2582
Sahih Muslim • The Book of Virtue, Enjoining Good Manners, and Joining of the Ties of Kinship
Sahih
Abu Hurairah
Translation
Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever relieves a believer's distress from the distresses of this world, Allah will relieve from him a distress from the distresses of the Day of Resurrection. Whoever makes things easy for one in difficulty, Allah will make things easy for him in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever conceals (the fault of) a Muslim, Allah will conceal his (faults) in this world and the Hereafter. Allah is at the service of a servant as long as the servant is at the service of his brother.

💭 What Would You Do?
Imagine you are at work and you know a Muslim colleague has made a mistake that could get them fired. You are the only one who knows. If you speak up, you might look good to the boss and maybe get a promotion. If you stay silent and even help fix the mistake quietly, no one will know what you did. But the colleague is a single mother with three children. What would you do? Would you conceal her fault and relieve her distress, even if it costs you a chance to advance? Or would you expose her, thinking 'the truth must come out'? How does this hadith change your answer?
